First Time Visit

So, you've found our squadron, looked through our website, and are wanting to come to one of our meetings. Awesome! We're excited for you to come. The following is a brief overview of what you are likely to experience during your first visit. We understand that it can be exciting yet overwhelming; but, the biggest thing to keep in mind is to ask questions. Because we are a Composite Squadron, you will find that we have both Cadet (youth) and Senior Member (adult) components. Whether you wish to join as a Cadet or as a Senior Member, this is what you can expect to observe:

  • Members arrive and socialize.

  • At 1900 (7:00 PM), cadets will be called into opening formation on the drill pad.

  • Cadets will return into the meeting room.

  • Squadron Commander will address the squadron at large.

  • Joint activities and announcements will be held.

  • Cadets and Senior Members will separate and host their respective activities.

  • Prospective members will be assigned a time to meet with the squadron's administrative officer to discuss requirements and details for joining.

If you are interested in joining, please Contact Us so we can best prepare for your visit. Please don't be afraid to introduce yourself and ask questions; we want you to feel comfortable and excited to join us. Please refer to the following information on who to find at the squadron once you arrive:

If you are wanting to join as a CADET, please seek out the Deputy Commander for Cadets: TFO Jack Nickless, CAP

  • Our Great Start/Integration Team will guide you through the inner workings of the meeting and help answer any questions you may have.

  • We also ask that for your 1st through 3rd meeting, you bring along a parent or guardian for the entirety of the meeting.

  • Prospective Cadet members are required to attend three meetings before applying for membership.

If you are wanting to join as a SENIOR MEMBER, please seek out the Squadron Commander: 1st Lt Sandy Wu, CAP

  • We invite you to learn more about the opportunities in CAP as a Senior Member.

Typically, our Squadron Command Team will be wearing the CAP Corporate Working Uniform, a dark blue polo shirt & gray pants combination with full names embroidered on the shirt. Please keep an eye out for them as you arrive at the squadron. We look forward to meeting you and having you join our squadron!
